The world is going to do that for everyone at some point. Lester said "we will knock our props out", so the only answers will come from inside. You and everyone else won't do it while you are still comfortable. I did a certain amount of it a few years ago, and it is not fun. Good though.
You can make Step#1 more important by seeing that if you don't do it, you will die here. I don't know any other way.
